A grad party in the driveway
Every grad party in LA lands on the same three weekends in May and June. The ones people stay at are the ones with something to do.
How a grad party runs
A grad party is three crowds in one yard: the graduate's friends, cousins who know nobody, and the parents. All three will shoot hoops.
The machines light themselves, so once the sun goes down the machines carry their own marquee lighting, so the trailer is the brightest thing in the yard.
- Book early or lose it
- Graduation weekends are the densest of the year and dates are held on deposits, not conversations.
- Bridges the age gap
- Teenagers and their parents will not do the same activity willingly. They will both shoot.
- Good after dark
- The marquee lighting makes an evening setup look planned.
- Setting up
- Driveways, backyards and cul-de-sacs. If the party runs late, tell us when you book so we can agree the pickup window.
Four steps, and we do most of them.
Delivery, setup and pickup are already in the number you get back.
01Send your dateDate, start time, address, how many hours. Two hours is the minimum.
02Get a priceWe check the calendar and email an itemized estimate. You owe nothing yet.
03Pay halfApprove the estimate, pay 50%, and the date is yours. The rest is due a week before.
04We show upFifteen minutes early. We set up, show you the games, and go. Back at the end to pack up.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. May and June weekends are the busiest dates of the year and a date is only held once a deposit is on it.
Does it work in the evening?
Yes. The machines carry their own lighting, so an evening setup reads well after dark. Confirm the pickup window when you book.
Will adults play it?
Consistently more than the hosts expect. A game runs about a minute, which is short enough that nobody feels committed.
